Shank pieces .... Well to be brutally honest I can appreciate the amount of work that went into this and it makes my fingers hurt. It is well crafted , strong , no doubt about that. But the overall result strikes me as rather unrefined and a little bit sloppy . I do not want You to think of it as cr...

This is indeed an impressive piece , regardless of its usability as actual armor I am shocked by the artistic performance and sheer craftsmen skill presented in this .

You are my hero !

Loom help

My Lady ,has asked for a loom , as in medieval style loom . That she could use to produce home made garments (circa 10-13th century). Being of DIY persuasion I began to dig for blue prints and such. Sadly I found A LOT of people who undertook similar projects but very little in the way of step-by-st...

No offence intended

If I may impart some general reasoning Quenching is usually used to achieve one of two goals : 1 Hardening the metal 2 Blackening as you harden. For hardening you would naturally want something with high heat transmission ability .The quicker medium drains heat from the treated object ,the harder th...

Ornamental work is great, not overcomplicated and not primitive - juaast right.
But the real peach is dome assembly , so simple ,yet so elegant.I expect it makes producing multiple helmets simpler and faster.
