FS: Black Leather Boots
Hello, I have a set of black leather boots for sale. They are thick leather and are size 8.5 to 9 mens. On the soles are hobnails and heal irons. I bought them as loaner jackboots but the seam running down the front killed that possibility, but I think they would be fine for medieval reenacting, esp...

Re: HEAVIER SCA combat :) ?
Its been my experience fighting rebated steel the blows are just as hard as rattan. Of course, in rattan some people "swing for the fences" when its not necessary while in rebated steel you have to be a bit more careful with that. Personally, I don't like to break my friends. As has been said by oth...

Re: Galvanized coif
Vinegar will remove the galvanization in 3-4 days, but it will quickly begin to rust on you when you take it out.
Here in Missouri, the rust will form in a matter of hours, but we have high humidity.

Re: Review of Armstreet full suits
Thank you everyone for the feedback. I have never purchased from Armstreet, so I wanted to know about the quality to cost ratio. The last east European armorer I did business with was Armorcastings and the helms I received were actually quite good, especially for the money. That was 10+ years ago. L...

Hello, losthelm wrote:When do you need them?
Winter slows down any blacksmithing I do.
The 12" ones I make are 3/8" square stock.
18" are 1/2"
Not too immediate. Sometime in January would be great, if that's possible. What's the prices?

Chris

WTB: Tent Stakes
Hello, I would like to purchase some heavy duty metal tent stakes. Several good blacksmiths on these boards have sold them in the past. :) I would like a dozen stakes 12" or 18" long, whichever you have available. Square rod with a curve on the end is fine. Nothing fancy. I have Paypal. Shipping to ...

I was asked to give a list of everything included in the Vader, so here goes. Reveal helmet: 3 piece fiberglass helmet with a unique lens system. I was designing a lens system that would prevent lenses from fogging up and not require fans. There are small vents cut into the lenses that you cannot se...

I will vouch for Cblackthrone. His stuff is top notch, I've seen in close up and Chris really pays attention to the details. Guy,
I think thats doable. The bodysuit is a two piece, so they can both be tailored to fit if necessary. Think about it and message me if you want to discuss options.
Thanks for your interest.

You can also take a spent shell casing (9mm works well) and epoxy to the end of the blade. Then dip it in rubber tool dip.
