Re: Any reviews for revival.us?

Short answer You buy from Revival US it goes in my bank account. I have to keep the name to keep the website and merchant spaces at events, it's why they never changed the name after the 2 Revivals split. I can't go into specifics of our contract, but i own/operate the Revival end of it. I bought th...

Re: Any reviews for revival.us?

I run Revival US now. Well half of it. It's pretty much 2 companies. I don't sell hardly any of the books. Part of why i have not been on the AA is i have no time at all between moving all the inventory here, getting an actual inventory of the stock on hand. We have to get the back orders filled, as...

Grounding out is not necessary. It might work better for "you" it might placate a marshall or 2 but it is not mechanically necessary. If it were...we'd ban hockey gloves as they do not ground out or offer rigid protection. In general i'd 2nd what MarkH says Grounded out made my hands open ...

Nope. It's just a leotard, nothing special about it.

i use 1050. Be careful though sometimes Adrmiral has sent me sheets that were not consistant. One end was dang near mild one was crazy carbon heavy, everything out of that whole sheet was useless. Soft end wouldn't harden, hard end shattered, stuff in the middle warped so bad it was crazy. Reaaaaaal...

i get it in big pieces from tandy

You gotta soak it to get it on there, but you usually don't have to piece it as much as with smaller stuff. And you get more control of the width than if it's pre cut, obviously.

"How does this work in hot weather, such as Pennsic?" It's hot Asbjorn used to do it quite alot. Use natural fibers and you should be ok in all but the hottest days. I generally don't dress that style at Pennsic. I can take heat pretty well, but it's just too easy for it to creep up on you...

Re: Making a rattan weapon last?

I've never been able to make a sword that was more durable than normal rattan that didn't also feel like a big dead piece of crap.

Plus they never got more than maybe 50 ish% better durability.

So 12-14 good days of fighting, instead of 8 on a single handed sword.
