for me? is it technologically possible for that era? Are there know examples that are similar? Are the elements contemporary? If so, then yes combining elements of a few different pieces is just fine imo. Now doing something like, the Sutton Hoo brass work on a 15th century Barbute?? No not so much

my son has a shield it's my arms with a lable at the top that's not the SCA way and i don't much care. You want your kid wearing your arms that way, paint it up. Someone gives you grief over it? politely tell em to stuff it their their bodily orifice of choice. It's your child and your device.

i'm little

i can crease a 14 ga mild helmet pretty easy.

your in Atlantia, get the 12 ga helmet.


In most of the world anything less the 14 is just a concussion waiting to happen. IMO 16 is way to light and the min should be moved up to 14 mild for helmets.

yeah i think that adding a pad under your jupon is your best bet


i'd love to sell ya spaulders but, maybe a hex pad shirt with shoulders would work for ya or just add padding to the aventail
