Try selling it to the guys here. There are many who _say_ the want armour.
Though they seem to spend enough money for a MAc harness on Guiness every month.

BTW i just got "Frennch armies of the HYW", "Henry V and the conquest of France" and "English Medieval Knight" from Ospery. they have the usu...

Hey Cet bring your proto types to Pensic i may pic something up from ya there. As far as other armour we obviously need Bascinets and kettle hats, mail, body armour and guantlets. Lots of the armour bits imo can be purchased from higher quality SCA armourers. Few make historically correct guants, and...

Wow that was fast. Price sounds good, get us some pics and we'll probably get going on it. You gonn be at Pensic? ___________ It looks as if the language barrier is just too great with the Checz armoury. I still want to get some stuff from them but will probably need someone to facilitate it after P...

Well the Fall is really crowded as far as getting our SCA cross over members to come. Plus i'll be real fried from the Academy for the first few weeks. The sites already avalible and some freindly groups are already hosting. More or less it would be a recruitment/ just for fun/ lets see what we ahve...

Stoffel, i know how you fell about the knee fighting, and again i know how ya feel about the plate. Yes it's goofy and ya get a good deal of crap. I also hear ya on the falling down sillyness. But ignoring what is an accepted good shot is called rhinoing. There are people who can hurt you through yo...

Also looks like there will be a TC event that we could get together at and see where to go from there, on Labor Day weekend in Tn. PLUS There is a LH site just south of Birmingham, they seem to be focused on Rev war- Civ war but i am gonna try to talk to them about a military through the ages type t...

"While it wasn't that hard I took it for I felt that it was placed as it should have and the force was not needed as this was more of a show of style and skills as opposed to that of force. Now what struck me about this was that several of the obseverers and the marshal both comented that there was ...

It needs to go, and the reasons (silly looking, hurts knees, unrealistic, ectectectectect) have been stated. Course it really screws me, i love to shoot legs and get rid of tall people's advantage. I get many of my wins by legging people and waiting. But it needs to go. Replace it with counted blows.

Theres lots of really good info there, esp reguarding the auld alliance. Just remember these few things, the Scots were not the kilted Cave men you seein Brave heart and Highlander, kilts ain't around until the 1560's (i think, it might be later) They would have had equuipment from the French and th...

I read about "archer hovels" in one of the Agincourt books i got at the UAB library. The description sounded like a lean too, either a thached wall leaning or a simple piece of cloth, almost like a half shelter. Seemed to be mored to keep their equipment dry than anything else. Next note: Hows every...

Sniffel http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/frown.gif i really don't _want_ sell any of this, but it's redundant for me at this time. It's all real good stuff, even the stuff i made. Most of it is near new, most of ya already have stuff but if ya wanna give a nice piece a good home i'd apprteciate it. ...

"or even late period back country knight" Not trying to be mean here but the idea that "poor knights" in later period were wearing rusty, incomplete, 100 year old armour is an SCA myth. Look at even "poor knights" in period like Marshal or De Charney when he started out. They still have complete rig...

has a Marquee that they want to use, let as many guys as can fit in it sleep in it; keep it closed during the day so it's not immediately apparent who or how many people occupy the tent and just say that the Quartermaster or someone who *should* have a big tent lives in it." That was more or less my...
