I also doubt we'll have too many "events" where folks will be needing to camp. But it could happen, i also doubt we'll have too many people at any give function, i don't see too many tents being there at all. We'll deal with it when we have too. We need to get people in proper clothing, with proper ...

Depending on what you have under your mail you should be fine.

Stay away from poly materials here, you'll cook.

Your farther north than a lot of us, but either way your mail should breathe pleanty.

I duuno, Chef? Gwen? Maybe som eof our folks that are geographically close could buy a tent ans split the cost. I was alo thinking that people who don't have a tnet could sleep in someone elses if it rains. Serously, i'm not gonna ask any one to sleep in the rain on the ground, just because it's per...

Stay hydrated Ditch as much padding as possible in the summer, espically poly batting. Get a cooler and keep cold rags in it to put on your face and head between fights. saty out of the sun as much as ya can, which is hard because where ever there is no shade that is where we will fight and possibly...

"Because there are people in the SCA (like me) that prefer to fight good over looking good, they will choose the best option available to them." So why are the 2 mutually exclusive? You can look absolute ly awesome and fight like a beast. Look at Rhys, Vitus, Conn, Templat Bob. Plastic is not the be...

It's just another example of silly SCA traditions getting in the way of people doing what is historically accurate and fun. Chef i'm a Squire, we had a guy here with a burgundy strap on his waist on his Burgundian harness. He was given grief by a squire of two and a buncha non squires. The Knights s...

V The crown here is rarely the problem. We have been blessed with many many very nice people on the throne. Ya saw the turnout on both sides this weekend, people just don't seem to really want to do anything. It _was_ hot and nasty but no more so than normal. I'm hoping it's just gas being so high. ...

The best place to buy the books i have found are vendors at Pensic.

If you have a fairly big University nearby they should have some in their library.

Look in the Art History section and the forign cultuers section.

espically if it's period.

Besides you can ding up 16 by puncing it good.
It'd be a pain to have to un dent stuff all the time for LH and SCA.

For the rest of it 18 should befine. We wil be in the stuff for hours on end.
