The SCA could be the best. It has the biggest membership, and the biggest pool of talen to draw from. It holds itself back because it's afraid to loose a single 10 year vertran goon in a blue barrel. There by loosing hundreds of folks like Gwen, Chef and the like. If the org would just _do_ what it ...

It breaks when cold, warps in the heat, inuslated way to much ot use in the sothern summer. #3 Yeah it can be used to replicate some Samaurai stuff. Why are the...

As iv'e said before, i have had some peopel be nice to me. Even be supportive of what i like to do. But the total unwarrendtedness and the sheer venom of the negative comments, often by people who do not even know who's inside the rig (even worse when they do) has had a very obvious effect. They mad...

I think if this focus attracted more authenticity or historical flavor, the effect would "trickle down" to all aspects of the SCA...

Well we seem really spread out, but there are a fair number of us. How bout first lets start a base standard of authenticity. Accaeptabel minimal garb and kit and such, places to get it. We'll start "broad" not SCA broad by any means and work down from there. BTW people who don't have armour or who ...

I'm not sure what we'd do yet. We seem rather split between Eglish and French. As for right now i'm just looking to see who's interested. Me i'd really like to do a unit, circa Henry V's military campaigns. That narrows it down to the end of the 14th C-the very early 15th Century. Lots of fighting, ...

Thanks Gwen but i don't yet meet Red Co or Wolfe Arget's standards. If my rigs were mild i'd be pretty close. I wear my stuff often, usually at least twicw a week. Here in the land of sweat and air so humid you can cut it, a mild rig worn that much would be dark brown in a matter of hours. I'm worki...
