FS: Helm Top
This has been on my shelf too long, and its time to clean house. 12g mild helm top made by Master Cet. No rust, its in the exact same condition as when I bought it. Measurements, 9" front to back, 7.5" side to side. I have to add that there is nothing wrong with this top, the workmanship i...

Being very, very new to the game, and basing this mostly on observations (since work has yet to give me the spare time to armor up), would a slashing spear of approximately 6' be feasible? I am Saxon in persona, and I've been roiling internally about the feasibility of looking into Spear use, since...

To satisfy the rule about the width of the attached piece of rattan, I would get a thick piece and plane it down. Once it is 1.25 all the way down, then I would shape it for the curve. It may however, be a bit too burly, so I would put a piece of .5 foam in between the two pieces so it has some give...

I don't know what your price range is for costume pieces, but I have a 16g mild (zinc coated, so no rust) butted mail shirt. I'm only slightly smaller than you and it fits me almost to my knees, and elbows. It has small holes in each armpit from fighting movements. I picked it up for 120 shipped, I'...

I thought I put a hard copy in your kit box. I believe that you hadn't finished the guide when you sent me the kit, no worries though. Grind off the rivets from the inside to reset your face plate. Clamp and weld or match drill and rivet. Ya, I think I'm gonna have to weld it to fix it, re-drilling...

Quick update, I got to work on my helm kit for a couple hours today. The faceplate is attached, and the support plate for the back slats is on. I killed two drill batteries so this is where I have to pack it in for the day. Looking forward to what I have to do still, shaping the back slats could pro...

10. It shall not be possible to force any rigid part of a weapon which may reasonably be expected to contact an opponent during combat more than 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) into a legal face guard. Rattan weapons may have a handle section which is less than 1 1/4 inch (31.8 mm), so long as it meets this cri...

Handful of items for sale. Updated 11/10
Updated, still have a few things. I also have a 16g mild (zinc coated) butted mail shirt, if there is any interest. Sleeve to elbow, and goes down to almost my knee (I'm 6'). Small holes in each armpit from fighting SCA in it, I have the lower half of the sleeves set aside for repairs that I can sen...

FS: Greaves & Elbows
I have a pair of Mad Matt's greaves, basic shape, 18g mild (as advertised on his site). They worked wonderfully for me, and I am only selling them to trim down some extra pieces to pay bills. I have them freshly cleaned up and painted in Rust Stopper black. My other addition is some holes punched on...
