Last I heard from him was that he was going to ship on the 10th or 11th. Even accounting for reasonable delays, this has been an excessive wait with no further communication.

Duke Paul Bellatrix is the guy who pretty much perfected SCA stick tag as a sport combat. I've heard he's still teaching in West (or his students are, or both) in the Bay Area, but I couldn't say for certain. I believe it would fit a 48" chest with MINIMAL padding, but I couldn't bet the farm on it. The chest measures just over 25" across fully laid flat, so it would probably be a little tight. If you're willing to take a chance, let me know.

Dark victory plastics may be look bad on the field, and yes, you can make it yourself for much less, but you can't knock his customer service. He's got that aspect down.
