Re: Is Pitbull Armoury still around?...

PB's been talking to me about my order recently. I have to say I've been impressed with his evident fervor for getting me exactly what I want.

Re: So just how bad is the GDFB gambeson . . .

I had a pair of the cuisses and the gambeson with the arming points. About medium level protection, decent looks, but built for someone short and heavy. Sold the legs. Need to open the armpits on the gambeson. Put the thing in the washing machine w/ some serious girl-smelling detergent, and the hors...

Try it with a longer handle. Most of the breakage I've seen in my own weapons has been right at the tang, and I only seem to break 2-handers.

Re: Meinhard at Rivenoak Newcomers Tournament - 24 April 201

Here are a series of a Dark Victory Armory body harness in action. Meinhard at Rivenoak Newcomers Tournament - 24 April 2010 There are really good because they give incoming fighters a chance to compare the appearance of our body armor with some other styles. I am truly not trying to cut on anyone ...

In all fairness, a fighter would have to hit you with a truck to hurt you in one of these things, if you've got even a halfway decent gambeson. And you don't HAVE to fight with it covered, but it does look a bit silly: [img]http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee26/mapexman115/Rivenoak%20Newcomers%20T...

Kandahar group is reaching a low point in the attendance cycle. If you, or anyone you know is on KAF and wants to fence, send them to the Boardwalk Stage. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 2100. Just look for the lonely looking Airman.

Also, if you could post a review on how it handles.
