Hooking thrust maybe, but in a straight line, I'm not seeing that get through chainmail easily.

I bought an Illusion onion top bascinet 2nd hand (unused). I like it a lot. I'm thinking of having it converted to a more LH look, but for SCA combat it looks and performs flawlessly. It's in that show us your 2010 kit thread.

Gorgeous helm, Mikael. Well done, as always. If I might offer a suggestion on the bascinet design for marketting to the SCA crowd... Make the faceplate a little wider at the bottom. The gaps on either side of the point of the chin worry me a bit. I can see some marshals being picky about jaw exposur...

I make most of my mass weapon heads out of stacked blue camp pad from wally world. 3 layers of it cut to whatever shape I need, the a thick layer of leather on the sides (and bottom for pulling, if it's an axe) for stability. Adding "clacker(s)" if desired. I can't afford to do full stacke...

Having dealt with both Steel Mastery, and Armstreet, I can honestly say that I've never had any issues with the Ukraine. Shipping takes a while, but international shipping always does. The only quick shipping I've ever seen from country to country was to and from an APO. I certainly wouldnn't disput...

Not to be hypocritical, there are many people here who DON'T post pictures with their classified posts... but most of them have web-pages with pictures or are selling certain bulk items.
