Yoga is good for you.

For me, the new agey fruu fruu instructor at my gym makes me grind my teeth a little. I should go once a week, it's more like once every two months though.

cross training is good. provided you can keep an open mind.

our local practice sees a few WMA guys who keep trying things that just don't work in our (SCA) game, and they keep getting clubbed into the ground for it.

A few other WMA guys have figured it out, and are doing nicely.

It is easy to train yourself to poke too light with the swinging ball. medicine balls, maybe? The other thing is that in mellee peple are always fouling your spear and they are standing where you need to stand so I put stumps and tool boxes around the traniing area so that I get used to sub-optimal...

it also helps to not have emphysema.

And have a shop with proper ventilation.

Still, zinc fume fever is just no fun. Vinegar works for stripping galvy anyway, with no fumes.

An interesting question. Probably difficult to answer, as leather bits on preserved pieces tend to disappear over the centuries.

good plan. remember to use one piece copper rivets - much easier to remove than steel ones. I go with Brass or Aluminum. Both are less jarring than flat topped copper rivets. Looks like I will be drilling hole for all those applications. I had one of Windrose's kits on my old helm and it was the only chinsrap setup I ever had that made the helm feel solid on my head. The original setup was tied, and it drove me crazy.
