Your everyday copier has a +/-, increase/ decrease size function on it. Print your patterns then copy and change size as needed.

If you start using the 9' fiberglass use a little moderation with thrusts to the head. I know you guys play a different game...but fiberglass spears hit like a ton of bricks. It would be really eaasy to f*ck somebody up pretty bad if your not careful.

My favorite is timed Bear Pit / Wounds retained / run with what you brung. In other words you win the fight, you stay in. You get armed and and still win the fight, you face the next opponent armed. You want to change out weapons styles throughout the time period, fine, but you can't do it until you...

I use a very small (at least by meridian standards, not so small in the west) heater. At the last event I went to I think I had the smallest shield there except for one guy with a buckler. Pros- it's fast, packs well, and actually looks about the size of the heaters that you see on effigies/brass ru...

The usual stuff for me: drilled holes in foot, smashed fingers, cut's & scraped, a couple of wire wheel abraisions, burns. Worst was when my oxygen bottle dishing form fell off the bench onto my foot, that really sucked for awhile. Or maybe when opening the bottle of leather dye and the bottle burst...

I think some of my SCA gained experience would be of some help compared to somebody with zero martial experience of any kind.

However I'm sure I would quickly suffer the same fate as that unknown crewman on the Star Trek landing parties. A unexpected, gruesome death.

Of course my idea of fun often entails getting wacked in the head so I could be a little off target.

#4 I would also like to see archery equipment with some oomph to it allowed. If you can club somebody and leave nice nasty bruises with a chunk of rattan, you should be able to shoot someone and have them feel it. Maybe using something resembling an arrow instead of say a golf tube and a 50-60# bow....
