Two pics of my kit from last weekend
This should be two pics from the kit I wore at the event in Tokyo last weekend.
If you go here: http://photos.yahoo.com/rainaldk2
and look in the yahoo album they are labeled "blackhole event" and blackhole2" or something close.
Let me know what you think.

If you really want to do it right: Make sure your properly hydrated. Moderate the booze the night before. Get a good nights sleep. A large breakfast of steak and eggs works well. It's considered a high protein/low residue meal. Hey it's what they always fed the SR-71 pilots before they took off to f...

I use a 6" paddded glaive. It is made out of the same type high density foam used to make womans platform type shoes. The foam is light, dense and tough as hell. It's based on the "italian bill" design posted by ? a while ago. On top of the high density foam is .5" of neoprene foam rubber for progre...

I always thought you had to wet it and stomp the crap out of it to "felt" it. Actually compressing the fibers together or something like that. At least I think so. Otherwise everytime I wash and dry some of my good old U.S. military sweaters or blankets I would have turned them into some decent ligh...

Greaves,demi-gaunts, breast/back plate, tassests, faulds, spaulder, simple elbow cops, loaner legs with simple steel knee cops. I have made tons of stuff out of it. Roll the edges, add fluting and don't have any flat surfaces and it's tough enough for SCA use unless your a human pell. As far as your...

Moving to Meridies soon, calibration levels / targeting nowd
After 5 years of self imposed banishment I find myself soon leaving the outer reaches of the West Kingdom and returning to Meridies. (The Barony of the Small Grey Bear to be exact.) I am a little worried that my current calibration level, both in giving and receiving might come across as a little he...

Sinrics pattern is fairly simple to make: http://www.armourarchive.org/patterns/cup_hilts_sinric/ Instead of riviting the two halves together, just use a strap over the top and rivet them together, ala spangenhem construction.
