Depends entirely on your build. I would be cautious of imported munition armor unless you've got a build that suits it perfectly.
You can try http://www.merctailor.com/
Or http://roughfromthehammer.com/
There are plenty of other armorers to choose from. It's nice to have some made custom to you.

Looking for maille scraps
I'm doing a maille project and would be interested in any of Knuut's welded maille scraps.
Or decent quality riveted, split ring maille, or heavy duty butted(spring steel 16 gauge or regular stainless 14 gauge) scraps.
Thanks

Re: Looking for real sword
keep checking on the Albion website "moat sale" every once in a while they screw up a blade and get rid of it for a pitance... bought a heat treated Mainz Gladius blade for $30 because the tang was off by 1/8 inch which to me means it will become a standard issue gladius... probably won't...

Re: Looking for real sword
I didn't specify anything fancy. Something crude and cheap would do. Maybe even something without a hilt, just the blade. With the economy being the way it is, and with some blacksmiths doing trial stuff, I figured it was worth a shot. I knew one American smithy that was making things fairly afforda...

Looking for real sword
I'm interested in a real sword. Not a cheap mass produced sword made in India or Pakistan but the real thing. Made to function as the real thing from centuries ago. I'm open to Medieval European, Roman, Greek, or even something viking. As I'm unemployed it will have to be cheap, second hand is fine.

Re: Schmitthenner armoury
Had a similar issue when i ordered from them a few years ago. They eventually responded to me after several emails over a couple months.
I did get my order. Communication is just poor and it would not be unusual for them if your order is delayed somewhat.

Does anyone know if O'quinn is still in the armor making business? Haven't seen him around in a while.
Just curious.

The Lorica Manica from this thread: http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=131406 Is there any interest on this board for me selling this one and possibly making a few more in the future? This first one is as described in the thread...heavier gauge steel than should actually...

I was thinking nasal, crest and eyebrow trim.
You know... as on the Beowulf helm, with a riveted mail helm drape.
If the dollar collapses in your lifetime, that silver going to be a lot more valuable.

Re: What are the evil new eBay rules/fees?
eBay sucks, and the fees are higher, but it isn't that bad.
Paying about .50 for a $15 dollar auction. With paypal fees on top of that it still sucks, but with eBay you can at least get a sale.

Haven't heard from him in some time over an unfulfilled order. Believe I saw him post in Off Topic.
Anyone talk with him?
Brian, if life has hit you I am willing to compromise over my gauntlet order.
Thanks

LTB : Flat split rings
I'm looking for a source for flat split rings.
Like here - http://onestop-key-rings.co.uk/images/3 ... -rings.jpg
The one source I found is in the UK - http://onestop-key-rings.co.uk/30mm-fla ... -p-66.html
But I would prefer a more local source so I don't have to deal shipping delays and import costs.
I've checked Worth Co as well, but no luck there. Any suggestions?

I also have some used stuff if yo...

Any rotary styles that are designed to hang on the wall as opposed to on a table? Our house is old enough there is a recess in the main hallway for a phone of that sort. Unfortunately, no there are some holes on the bottom that could be used to support the unit, but the receiver would fall off the ...

Vintage phones for sale or trade
I have some vintage style phones. Brand new.
- American made
- Made of a heavy duty plastic. Built to last.
- Brand new, still in the box.
I wouldn't be surprised if one of these would last 20+ years.
Asking price is $11 plus shipping, will negotiate offers or consider trades
