I believe the shields were called hoplons m I was interested in them years ago, and really wanted one. Finding one made well at a reasonable price was difficult. There was an Australian armory charging an arm and a leg for them, but they did do quality work. I did find an American armory making them...

I have been eyeing your Almain Collar but, do you by any chance work in aluminum or only steel? I'll admit it, I am semi-lazy and living on the Gulf Coast, I have no desire to keep fighting rust. You could possibly blacken the piece. There are other options too, painting, powder coating, or a good ...

Anyone use layered linen for a lino construction? I wonder how well that would hold up in SCA.

Now here is the question on my mind... If a person were inclined to make themselves a butted haubergeon and then case harden it, could they not use thinner gauge wire? I would think that the hardened and tempered rings would resist deformation and allow for a lighter weight piece of armor in a more...

Your items look good.

Issue may be the fact that its memorial day weekend, and not many people as usual are seeing it due to other activities.

Also times are tough... Though your prices seem reasonable.

Thigvald wrote:I wonder what Atlanta Armory charges for an XL shirt, any ranges?

Depends on the ring size.

$300-400 in the new 3/16, depending on exact measurements. PM Ben at Atlanta to see for sure.
