Re: been there,done that

The last time I sent a pair of gauntlets for a "trial" they came back CRUSHED. The damage was so bad the if anyone was wearing them they'd never use that hand again. The trial "test" appeared to be repeated blows to the gaunt while on a solid object [chair, floor] once burnt , tw...

I second a recommendation for O'Quinn. Rejoice Glaukos! This is from my post on that thread. I've gotten this whole lino construction thing down to a science and can pop em out pretty quickly if need be. that's canvas covered leather w/ a little extra reinforcing under neith for better protection. I...

I did business with Maxim last year. I forget the name, but there's an overseas funds transfer bank to bank that I did at a Walmart location, unfortunately I do not remember the name offhand.

The fee was at least $20 I think, far more reasonable than the $60 the bank wanted.

I have a hard time precisely visualizing the difference between a mantle shirt and regular maille.

It can wait till Ben can make one, but does anyone have any good visual examples to show the difference?

Thanks.

FS: Welded maille half-vest - SOLD

Up for grabs, I have this stainless welded maille half-vest here - supported by buckles. It's enough to cover half your torso. Stainless, light weight, maybe 3-3.5 pounds. 3/16 ring size, probably 20/21 gauge. Bought new. German made by a company called Niroflex. High quality construction that shows...
