My girlfriend says that cleaning house is scientifically proven to be good exercise. This will have added benifits. Your wife/GF will be apreciative, which may lead to other aerobic type exercises.

Is that the aventail that goes for $175 at Icefalcon? How long ago did you add it and how much is the total weight of the helmet? Also (kind of important), what size head does this fit? Yep, that's the one. I added back in the summer, but since I haven't fought in 6 months ( ) it is still like new....

The main thing I remember about the helmets is the guy in the sword tourney scene with a sallet and no bevor. <shudder> That just looks painful.

With padding it fit my 24" head pretty well. I may have the padding for it still. If I do I'll include it.

ME Helm for sale/trade

I kinda hate to do it because it's finally starting to look o.k. after almost 10 years, but I need to sell my helm. I'm changing personas so need something for late 14th Century England. It started off as an Ashcraft Baker spun top helm. It's been blackened, had an IceFalcon rivited aventail added, ...

ME Helm Top

This is a helm top to make a turban helm. It started off as a late period Turkish helm by WildArmour. I started modifying it into a turban helm but never finished. It is REALLY thick cold rolled steel. It has been painted inside and out with an acrylic paint in preperation to acid etch and to keep i...

SS Bauzabands FA/FT

Up next in my changing personas auctions is a pair of 16 gauge stainless steel bauzabands. These were made about 5 or 6 years ago by armour and castings. I changed the straps a year or so back. They have some mild to moderate dents and tape scuffs in them, but are still in good shape. I don't have m...

Gambison Auction/Trade

I can't resist the lure of the dark side anymore, so I'm changing personas to 14th C. English. To this end I'm selling all of my Middle Eastern gear. Since I really have no clue how much any of this is worth, I'll run it as an auction. First up is a gambison I made from a Mongolian shirt pattern. Co...

There are many diffeent styles of jousting and many different time periods as far as armor is concerned. You can do early period open field jousting with pretty much maille and plate you would wear in the SCA or you can get uber specific tilting armor for later period jousting. ... That's true. I g...

Helm modification

I've been working on upgrading my kit, so I've been making my old helm look more middle eastern in apperance. I'm shooting for something like a turban helm. It started off as an Ashcraft Baker spun top, but has been pretty heavily modified. I've blackened it, added an Icefalcon rivited camail, and I...

We will get some pics up when they come in. They are going to be sized for large hands (4 inches across the knuckles, palm down) at first and we will go for extra sizes if they are cool. Wow, 4" at the knuckle is large? My hand is 41/2" without even a glove on. No wonder I can never find ...
