I have a milk crate filled with balls up to 2 inches. They are not all perfectly round but they are increadibly hard. I think they were once rock crushing balls or something. I would be willing to sell some if people are interested.

To me they look folded out like many others. The folds seem to be much smaller though they could be damaged, removed for rusted away.

You can make buckles yourself or you can buy buckles from your favorite leather shop. If you want authentic buckles take a look at my site you will find a variety of authenticly styled buckles as well as a selection of hand made buckles by Patrick Thaden specificaly for armour.

Parts of it could be real. The visor certainly is not. The main plate of the visor may be old though. I believe it could have come from a set of pauldrons or perhaps a tasset. It has been badly cobbled together.

#2 The crease up the back. I allways though that the crease ended on the top cap and didn't continue down the back. I've never seen any photos from an angle to say one way or another. Did you have any sort of information that lead you to putting a crease down the back? He is right about the crease....
