There are some. I do not have my sources here at hand but I know if at least two examples. One is 14 or 15th century. It is elaboratly carved with the relief of a skull in profile. I think it is in the British Museum.

This is Duke Edmund (Don Strubler) of Hereford. He is a 7th century Anglo-Saxon. He wanted a helmet that was continental in origin.

Edmund has someone who can weld stainless. I sent him along the spacers and he will get them welded in place.
