IMHO, it's a matter of leading the new folks into the right stuff without looking down on them Easier said then done for some people. The SCA is a great place in some regards but everyone has something to say about everything and alot of it seems very sharp and opinionated to new people. There is a...

I fight in all black sneakers when we practice indoors and if the event is on grass I use cleats. I just got over a nasty sprained a...

The last thing I am worrying about is what the guys wears on his feet. Its not going to help me win anything doing so. I like sweet kits and all but at the end of the day, out here its not a fashion show

I liked the Fall Crown of the east where the unbelts line up and pick their fight. It was great to test yourself against the best of the East on the first fight. Theres a few from around here who are quite good with the Madu. These fighters are also good in other forms as well. As long as the weapon is allowed and its not causing a stir in terms of invincibility or there is a serious threat injury wise, I wouldn't call for it to be banned. Considering how ma...

GREAT WORK.
we bought a bunch of that trim lock at the last Pennsic. Let me know how many practices it holds up. I had a good war with it but after 2 practices a week I end up replacing it. I wonder if the canvas will help it stay in place longer.
