IIRC, the 1" will work, but with a lower heat yeild. Try a plumbing supply warehouse, the one near me has got them. A #60 drill bit can de found in any goog (or even some HF) numerical drill index, it's .040. The very small bits are usually available by the dozen from any good industrial supply co.,...

I had a photocopy reprint of Churburg and Wisby stolen in '97. Both with grey card under clear vinyl covers, black "tape" bound.

I've long since given up ever recovering either, but if you buy either and it matches the description, I'd be curious to find where they ended up.

Fiberglas pros: My fiberglass spear weighs half a pound LESS than my venerable rattan spear (equal length). It is much easier to target accurately with fiberglass. Fiberglass dosn't go "wonky" in the rafters over the winter. Longevity, my fiberglass pike has been in regular use for at least 13 years...

They are a fairly closeknit group but not official. My ECW artillery unit had the honor of being mown down by their .45-70 Gatling last Dixon Scottish Games. They played fair and we dropped most of them before they obliterated us. I'll find out ontact info for you tomorrow.

Eastwood sells a pretty nice air plainisher for $649, rated for 18 ga. but I've seen it easily do 16 ga. You'd have to get the price WAY! down to be competetive.

Vallconan, Keep the Makita after you get a B-1; just try manuvering a 4' x 4' sheet of 16 ga. with one hand while working the shear with the other, it's SO! much nicer to toss it on a couple of sawhorses and cut 10 quisses or whatever. Somebody grab it!!! I've got one of these in addition to a B-1 and B-2. The Makita is great for processing large sheets of steel, particularly if alone. If noone says they're gonna get it, I'll grab it for a spare!
