umm. yeah. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, quacks like a duck, and has the feathers of a duck.... its probably a du-the bolivian navy on manouvres in the south pacific, I mean.* just to emphasise, that was what I assumed of it when I heard of it back then. (* extra geek points if you get...

Maybe there wasn't already a rule because one was not needed then as it is not needed now. Balin Come on Johnathan, You of all people should know the time it takes to come up with something that a group of people can agree on. If there had been some better for of apperence rule off the bat, we would...

Well i want new people to come out and play too. So the first thing we should do is find out if the SCA is growing or not. If the SCA is growing then we are already bringing in new folks. Sorry i just do not see the invasion of Madmaxians that you must. Balin balin, the point was/is that if we want ...

I don't think anyone disagrees that we would like everyone to look better. What i and some others are worried about is writing rules concerning it. What if the next SEM again to improve our medieval look says no more rubber soled shoes, or basket hilts all together? We as a group have improved VASTL...

We're allowed to use blue plastic. It just needs to be coverd up, just like you did. So what if I used black plastic and painted it blue? Why is that any different than if i were to wear metal painted blue? Are we going to ban blue paint? Is blue the problem? Blue is my kingdoms main color. It's in...

As to why the rules were created... Why not ask someone who was THERE? Remeber that the rules aren't written for the small minority of fighters that are on this board, or the Chivalry, or the guy who is in armor 5+ times a month. They are written for the guy who practices 3 or 4 times a year, picks...

As for the KEMs being there for this meeting... well my KEM doesn't even fight heavy! IMO he has no business making decisions about the heavy weapons community. (But that's more of a personal/local issue). We have an overall KEM. Under him are the deputies for each discipline. Personally I don't li...
