Let's see - Estrella spontaneously tries tube ammo, Count Johnathan goes back to Estrella to embrace his new role as 'missile sponge' for half the war, the other half we get to watch him wade thru Outlanders. Tube ammo is safer. As Jonathon More put it tube ammo "fails safe". Solid fiberglass rods don't. And yet, the majority of *actual* *documented* injuries (the only ones that have a place in this discussion, as if it ain't written down, it ain't verifiable) associated at times when CA is on...

Actually Jonathan the most dangerous thing we currently do in the SCA is to have morbidly obese people fall on us. Second to that is to have people roll on to the sides of our legs at the knee in mellees. I would guess that third is dehydration, leading to kidney stones, but that is on my mind sinc...

How about this scenario. Expensive, and requires a lot of land, but could be fun. Each army would start off inside the town and rush to the bridges. Hard part about scenarios like this is scaling it to the number of fighters. IF you make the map too small.... it's just a big castle with everyone crammed in there. If you make it too big, then all the terrain is irrrelvant. Big points here +1 bazillion Same goes for objectives if you have to few ...

Funny how we never used to have to worry about what types of battles we fought until CA became such an overpowered weapons form.
