If you want to get better at infighting practice infighting. Find someone to work with and start the fight with you and your opponents lead feet(foots) heel to toe next to each other so you are face to face and then fight trying to stay in close.

Aaron, All you need is a beefier piece of rattan! I picked up one of the revival hammer heads and mounted it on a 2.25" piece of rattan with the sides shaved down to 1.5". The first time I used it, the hammer head dented a 14g stainless helmet! http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/...

Hold practices where alot of folks can see you. I know winter is here, but maybe you could talk to a local mall and do a demo. If you have a local college look there, returned vets that still want to whack folks. Armed forces guys in general.

It may have been dropped or forgotten. Like shovel handles on spears, or punch bucklers used to say in the rules no. Now it says nothing.

I also think we should get to show up on the archery field during the war point shoots and throw bean bags at the archers when they line up. That way, they drove 12 hours, hiked up the hill, waited for 30 minutes, and then were taken out before they could fire a shot by some stick jock who they nev...

I disagree it is not the same it may feel the same, but that is it. 1 step back your out of spear range if it takes more than that your line is to close.

Also just liek to point out that it will be hard to darken the skies when most CA fire is direct fire not arc'd.

Balin, I'll assume you just missed my question rather than ignored it. I'll go ahead and answer it for you. None of the incidents at Pennsic had the actual hard blunt enter the helm, only the foam entered. The blunts did their job and prevented the bolt/arrow from entering the helm. Now, having sai...

Golf balls would bounce after a hit a really put spectators at risk. The armor standards work for all other weapon forms, but i agree make blunts 2" and no more pentrations.
