Re: Looking for - Used Ringmesh/Azon welded stainless hauber
Heard back from Ringmesh directly. According to your measurements, a X-Large should fit, but because of your biceps dimensions, and the mobility for SCA combat, the XX-Large would be your safer bet. If anything, it will just hang a little longer. You can find a full line on our website. Please allow...

I guess the short sleeve tunic in XXL is what I'd need. Anyone have a used one they want to part with before I order new?

Make one of these from dyed/painted water hardened leather. Heck you could even hot water, block it then dry it, dye it then dip it in floor wax. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn114/clueX4_graphics/brig/GEDC0326.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn114/clueX4_graphics/brig/GEDC0328.jpg I've...

Rule of thumb.... others may disagree/agree
(Materials cost x 2) + (# of hours to make x what you'd like to make per hour) + (20% of total for shop overhead)
Compare that to what others charge and adjust accordingly.

Interesting take on the Varangian on the bottom.... I think I like your center band a little better than Jackie's.
I think I prefer the face shape his retains with the hinged & shaped shovel guard his has under the maille.
Lovin the clean lines and finish on your work as always.

I plan to fight in it so its... Me + Arming cotte (Westland/Revival/Icefalcon style) + Maille + Globose and I need to have free movement. The one LDWalter has looks like it wont fit me. I'm going to have to sort out some sizing issues His is an XXL but its tight under the armpits on his 50" chest. Though LDWalter is taller & more muscular than I am, I have the same chest measurement. Problem is the XL size should fit a 50" by their gu...

I have a request. Make Jackie stop every once in a while and take pictures!
Also does this mean I can talk to you guys about the other, non-helmet projects or should I wait untill the cue dies down a bit?

What brig you plan to make would be a good start towards helping you. Will it be a Wisby Coat of Plates or a later period brig? how many plates? Guys unless the canvas is mildewed and ripped this is pretty much on lock. I just have about 640 miles of road time to do, starting this friday.
I like driving but adding a San Diego 6 hour turn around on the tail end of that is just a lil much.
