Re: Not armor but...
I could replicate that, in silver. Feel like bribing me into spending hours... cutting plate silver with a jewelers saw, making a couple stamp chisels for the decoration, turning, cutting & filing a few rivets, headspinning some silver wire into rivets, cutting copper roves, snipping then dopping th...

Re: results of a LOOOONG week (Early period helm)
You use a graver, you cut a slot, you use a different graver and make undercuts. it is slow exacting work that defies you to make a mistake. You then tap in dead soft wire untill it fills the undercuts, then sand it smooth.
I'd be willing to bet Knitebee even made his own gravers.

Pardon me guys but you are ragging him on a single design element of a custom super rush commission?
Not a word about the hand inlayed wire? The custom brasses other than the strapwork? The tapering skull bands?
The scrollwork bars are a nice touch and I HATE bargrills.

You do realize than a nice damascus blade can be somewhat tempting...

I get the feeling like you gents just skipped right over me since mine wasn't a cash offer.
We will leave it up to Pelagon I suppose.

It seems you are much happier following your own creative instincts wherever they may lead you. The idea that "the pow...

A copy from The Team USA page, actually. As you know sometimes there are rulings or changes made and I wanted to be sure of the parameters. Don't want a Falchion over 2100 grams dead maximum for example. Wanted to make sure there were not dead limit maximums on length or width that wasn't posted. It...

Got a doughnut shop in your town? A delicatessen? Any kind of eatery that uses a lot of sauces or pickles? ask the manager to raid the bucket pile. Gunther, You didn't mention a critical factor. What is the size of your compressor? Most of these need 5hp and 80 gal tank for production use. Also most of the ones I have seen use 1/2" To me, the engineering for placement of the Air cylinder looks wrong. You are not using fulcrum as a force multipl...

I cannot more highly recommend KWT's Bazubands. Just be sure to take your measurements OVER the padding you will want. I sent them measurements assuming the armourer would allow for padding and got a set that fit like a second skin, on my skin. I insisted on 16 guage but would recommend the 18 guage...

Not only cable is made from improved plow steel. I can get different bars of the stuff from the welding supply close to my shop. I typically use it for dies for my 20 ton press. It's the equivalent of 1065 .... just the right balance of hard & tough for something like a lance tip. Now I do make "Cab...
