Re: it followed me home!

KL is an English made offshoot of Mousehole forge. Peter Wright was one of their employee's before forming his own company. He was the one who pioneered the process of cast body, welded face anvils. It likely dates back to around 1900-1920. Not much is known about KL, they certainly didn't last long...

Actually guys... the FIRST pin locking cheek helmets I ever saw were made by His Grace, Francisc. Back in the early 90's

Pretty sure that is where Brand got the idea for it.

I have found that el-cheapo muratic pool acid makes a awesome descaling pickle. Bonus points for the normalization.

Re: WARNING. Post- BoTN plate armour freakout. WARNING

I see this as a good thing.... because many of the guys rushing to arm up for BoTN sold their high quality CotT pieces to finance it.

Be on the lookout for lots of quality Non spring armour to hit the archive, turning it into a buyers market.

Here's the skinny... I had been talking with a costumer who normally works in the LARP community and does jaw dropping awesome work at about 1/2 of Historic's prices. but thats the problem. She is now swamped and I have zero desire to wait another 2 months for these relatively simple items. The real...

Wow that is for sure not one of their standard tents... the number of panels and design is far more accurate. Please forgive my earlier presumption because at $800 with poles & ropes, that is a really good deal for that Pavillion. How many people does it take to set up & does it have a pole at every...

Re: Guaging interest - Handmade steel buckles

What I am thinking is simple styles, "D" shape square & pointy, Figure 8 both square and pointy. Buckle plates would be easy even with a simple cutout design. Decoration would be simple chisel struck patterns. I want to fill a niche not compete with current makers. 1/2" and 3/4" sizes... any call fo...

Was this custom? because Midwest Tent doesn't sell anything with the dimentions you give. Their size large round has 6'3" walls, 16' diameter and 12' center height. They also go for $450 new, without poles. I have a Panther Roman Papillo, 9' square tent, poles, ropes & stakes that I'd be willing to ...

Guaging interest - Handmade steel buckles

Speculation based on what could be seen on video.

Strap failures or buckle breakage..... failed spring pins. Pins need cotters or sneckt hooks need to be used on some designs.
