The only time I will call dibs is if the item lacks details, but the price is fair, I have money on hand, and I will buy it if the details work out. I primarily buy armor, so when I call "dibs", it means "I would like to confirm that the armor will fit me, so I just need measurements and maybe a few...

Allen doesn't make SCA gear. Allen makes armor. There is a huge difference. Should one have the opportunity to do business with Allen, that difference becomes obvious. Sorry, I don't mean "gear" to imply SCA context. I don't do anything SCA any more, only WMA/Historical things, with some renn fests...

Most American armories will use 304 stainless whcih is a much higher grade than the 400 series found in most 3rd world countries. It is stronger and will not rust, where the 400 grade will rust. Got mine a day or two, and am very happy with it. I was going to use it with my tent at events, but I like it so much, I rearranged stuff on the wall and have it hanging almost like a tapestry. Two thumbs up!

FYI... The armor I got was of fantastic quality and very pretty. The arms and shoulders were correct. The legs were beautiful...just not made to the size or shape specified.
