Are these anvils suitable for armoring? If not, what are the drawbacks? If they are, I may get one, but I`ve heard so much about "anvil shaped objects" from harbour frieght that I would like to be advised by those who know more than I about them before I plop down fifty bucks.
Thanks

Adam, thank you for making things more clear about the sallet in question. I knew you know more about the situation than I, but I wasn`t going to name you in my post because I didn`t know if you would have wanted people asking you to rate another armorers product. I did not realize that the fastener...

This is not my personal experience, and I don`t know all the details, so take it for what its worth- A guy in my barony has an Ilusion sallet with an articulated back, bevor, and lifting visor. Very pretty helm. I asked him what he thought of it and he said its very pretty but otherwise he hates it....

Vermin, I understand what you are saying.I also agree that two sword is a definite SCAism, and bears little resemblence to forms on a period battlefield. Until recently I had for a few reasons stoutly refused to learn two sword, and have been perfectly happy harrying with sword and shield. But, I do...

For the dogs how bout Dobermans? Fast like a grey hound strong like a mastiff Dobies are good dogs, but not for something like this. Pit bulls still surpass them here. They are a very agile breed, so quickness is not an issue. They are pound for pound, definitly stronger than a doberman. Most import...

Hi guys. First of all, this is not an attack, but a friendly heads up. IAs you know, I have been waiting on some peices of armor for a while, some pretty critical bits in some cases (gorgets, baskets, knees, shoulders)Since these are not very dificult peices to make, but they are pretty important, a...

Preliminary revue of a White Mountain helmet

This is just a preliminary review as the helmet is almost done but not one hundred percent. WOW! I met Adam at practice last night, and he handed me a complete hemet (by most folks standards it is ready to go as is)I had not expected it to be done this quick. Last I knew he had done the bowl, but th...
