A few of us have a grassroots "Northern Army Beutification By Example Movement" in the works. The concept being that if we put together better kits and are still able to fight competitivly in the upper end, and encourage and help our own newbies to put the extra effort into there gear, maybe it will...

Vladimir,
the lamelar is laced loose and the belt cinches it tight around the waist. I`m pretty sure thats all it is in the pic. I have a lamelar vest made from the same plates and thats how mine works, in fact I wore it for the first time in that tourney!
Correct me if I`m mistaken Adam.

Dmitriy, Alas, no. That is Adams own helm that he loaned to a friend for the day. That hat is much nicer in person than any pic can show. Likely the next project I will have for Adam at some point will be a Norse or Vendel style helm with occulars and a drape. I am however the proud and often compim...

Adam of White Mountain Armory Maunche

Juts to let some folks here know, Magnus, MKA Adam Berry was elevated to the order of the Maunche this weekend at Stonemarche investiture. As you all know, Adam does amazing work but doesn`t toot his own horn, letting his work speak for itself. Well, it has! Adam also went on to win our Baronial cha...

What Adam humbly fails to mention is that he won the Baronial Champions tourney we held yesterday. Adam had the best day fighting I have ever seen from him yesterday and though he took me out of the tourny in the semis, I was pleased to have fought him. I think we both had smiles on our faces the wh...

Mail offers better protection than a lot of people think. I wear it now and a lot of shots that I would have likely taken in a more rigid armor are rendered light by the softening effect the mail gives to some shots on the way to my body. It is a bit heavy on the shoulders, especialy on the shoulder...

I`m currently using Egg Armory legs under pants, but that is temporary. Ultimatly, I plan on using reenforced gamboise cuisses with wingless knee cops. The Egg legs hid o.k., but I`m not too pleased with how they function- they lock up when I go to my knees and once (during crown of course!) one of ...

It depend on what your looking for but I have to agree with EM., its not likely that you will find something decent in that price range. Things like being made of all natural fibers (the more linen the better!)and custom fit do tend to jack up the price but without these things you can wind up in a ...
