I doubt you would want to pay what I would let either of my White Mountain spangens go for! Basicly the only thing I would consider is what it would cost for a new, stainless, custom vendel helm I would have to talk him into making and its going to be a pricey hat! Otherwise, I love my WMA hats too ...

one often overlooked property of mail as armor is that it does absorb more impact than most folks who havn`t fought it it seem to think. Case in point- I have recently started fighting in the SCA wearing a riveted mail shirt. I fought one light practice, one East Kingdom Crown tourney and pick ups, ...

I will agree on the helmet issue- if you have the bucks to drop on a good helm, do it right the first time. Even if you later decide to go with something else, a better helm will hold more resale value if you take good care of it. Case in point, My newest newbie is getting herself a stainless White ...

I would stay away from it. As has been said, it is likely poorly shaped and wil press your face when you wear it. 15g steel in a helm with no glancing surface means it will not dent but crease up quickly if you live in any but the lightest hitting areas. The rivets do not look far enough apart to be...

It is nice lamelar- I was over at Adams last week checking that piece out-its nicely put together. As to the plates, I have four hundred of my own that I got from Adam and I can say that they are the best quality I have seen in stainless lamellar plates. Its a very good buy.

yet a third from the WMA PR dept.- Marla`s work rocks. If the gambeson would fit me I would take it in a heartbeat. I`ve seen Marla`s work and it is every bit as high quality in her area as Adams is in his.
No one who buys this stuff will have any reason to be disapointed.

I was not aware that Averill was using a siloflex sword Sunday. I was too, but my rataan had to be forced into the siloflex by heating the siloflex so it would expand and banging in the rataan with a rubber mallet. Heat and bang, heat and bang repeat until its where you want it. I heated the silofle...
