He does a very good job of controlling the fight, and from watching his An Tir fighting clinic videos, he actually becomes even harder to defeat when legged. Hauoc has An Tir clinic fighting vids? Did not know that, will look. And NO ONE is harder to defeat when legged. They might be harder to hit....

Is there any merrit to using a dished round with a center boss, rather than a handle extending from edge to edge (seems like a terrible risk to the hand if it is not very well protected. I have pictures in an italian armour book that are dished with bosses, but I do not seem them often in SCA combat...
