This is, absolutely, in the top 5 kits I have ever seen. I was almost annoyed...

- BUT I think it's a critical development in ones' fighting to REALIZE this, and REALIZE WHY. It's probably not enough for me to just make a pithy remark and have people take me at my word, but maybe you will think about it the next time. I take you at your word all the time, I threw the wink in be...

He does a very good job of controlling the fight, and from watching his An Tir fighting clinic videos, he actually becomes even harder to defeat when legged. Hauoc has An Tir clinic fighting vids? Did not know that, will look. And NO ONE is harder to defeat when legged. They might be harder to hit....

Re: Am I doing SCA wrong?
Hey guys, I've come to the realization lately that I enjoy training for fighting and going to fighter practice more than actually going to events (which I find very stressful for some reason.) Am I doing this wrong? Or is it ok to enjoy the SCA in this capacity. No, you aren't doing it wrong. I fee...

get it done already i wanna see pics of it in combat. I was hoping to find/trade something for a crusader-type/apropriate helm I can paint up to go with it to pair well. I got a nice belt from vitus, and I think I can get a tunic/robe made by someone locally. The idea is an all soft tourney kit so ...

When my first honda was stolen, I was 19, it had my then Sensei's sword in it. I never got the weapon back, even though the car was found. He was very understanding, but I never got over the regret. I am sorry for your loss, and would press you to get back in full what you are owed, especially if in...

I bought a Gorget from Otto (via eBay) around 6 years ago (maybe longer, I don't remember exactly) and paid via paypal. It arrived promptly and functions beautifully - and looks exactly like the pictures. G-- I have one from a couple years ago as well. I never had a problem with him. I understand t...

If you are going to decorate it, not pay for living history quality, and not fight with it, then its material almost does not matter. Sir Thorfin here on AA sells aluminum blanks for VERY affordable prices, look him up. Or, just save even more and get very good plywood and cut it out yourself. YOu c...

You just pad the bowl and strap it on to your chin, Even a wrap will not drive it into you if your head is snug and your strap tight. Every helm I have ever ued has been padded that way. I strongly doubt Halberds was at a loss as to how his helm should be padded, or how it works, or whatever you sug...

Is there any merrit to using a dished round with a center boss, rather than a handle extending from edge to edge (seems like a terrible risk to the hand if it is not very well protected. I have pictures in an italian armour book that are dished with bosses, but I do not seem them often in SCA combat...
