Re: WTB Cervelliere (helm) for SCA
I am looking for an adoption of this helm for SCA combat. The only company that I have seen making them is Windrose. Unfortunately the one they had is sold. Is anyone else making this helm? I think one might looks sharp with Dan's new line of products. We can probably make another one, as well.

Yes, $2 a piece. Specialty cut fasteners are a pain to get made. I am looking into some other suppliers, but that will take some time. The plaque belts were on my list for April, since it's May I must have missed getting them done on time. I actually have a pile of new stuff that needs to get onto t...

I'm with Lucius. Those tips are reliable, sturdy, and recognizable. Although, I haven't had good luck with the black ones, they tend to split rather quickly. But, the red ones hold up very well. We have found that the longevity of these is pretty dependant on the way they are used. The blacks have ...

My gripe is when a vendor sends it signature require, but doesn't inform me first. So instead of a package sitting on my porch, I have a note saying I need to pick it up at the post office which just so happens to close before I get home. If I would have known in advance, I could have made arrangem...

Our Made to Order queue is pretty caught up right now, and since you have a little longer time frame, we might be able to tweak it a little more.

We've had a rash of missing packages, lately, and with USPS we end up losing on them because they don't include any insurance with things unless you pay the extra for it. Now we are going to have to start charging all our customers for insurance or require a signature (which I hate myself). We use F...

When constructed properly, they aren't much different. I have fought alot in both, and they both fight about the same. Improperly constructed (with the center chest plate articulated on leather with the attaching rivets in a single row in the center instead of two rows at the edge of the center plat...

We use the ones from Knuut pretty heavily and for durability in SCA fighting, they are the best. We do sell them individually as well, Here and we sell verveilles as well.

Gilebert: Schedule Day for the 30?
Do we have a day set for the 30, yet? I have been asked by people coming in just for this event who need to be able to schedule their travel.

We have used the riveted mail on helmets in the past, and seen some long term issues where the mail lays over the bar work. The riveted links eventually tear open where the anviling happens. We have switched primarily to the welded mail, we get ours from Knuut at weldedchainmail. I do have some in s...

Glad to hear they cleared you. I look forward to seeing what work the break has left you wanting to do. Sometimes NOT working for a bit can get the juices flowing again. Whats the difference to the lay fighter between 7075 and T-100 which one do I want to buy for a punch blocking shield? The yield and tensile strengths of the 7075 T6 is nearly double that of 6061 T6. The trouble with it is that its hardness is way up there as well (which can lead to eventual cracki...
