Mounting your B-3 is SOOOO much more fun than using it. I mounted mine over and over again. Until I got it just right. http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/biggrin.gif Don't worry. I cleaned it off real good before shipping it out to PoD. Hope I did not miss a spot. Glad your happy. It is in SWEET shape...

I was watching the History channel last night and they had a segment on bladed weapons. There was a swordsmith who smelts iron ore to make his blades. Appeared to take FOREVER to get enough drawn up and purified to make a blade. He was from the mountains in New York, IIRC. I did not catch the gentle...

Sasha is correct. Plasma cutters are very nice tools when used for cutting things in half. Great for bodywork, cutting scrap, etc. For armour, you will end up doign about 12 times more cleanup of edges than you would with your trusty shear. And the speed is nowhere near as quick as your shear. I kno...

What the heck is with these scheduled wars. I can just see it in the olden days: Um, well, Ld. Humpteysquat, I would just LOVE to meet you on the battlefield at noon. Speaking of Warcraft 3: I have been playing it for two weeks now and am seriously dissapointed. The game has been simplified to much. I am from the old school Warcraft and was hoping that this would be a significant change in the game. Unfortunately it ended up being eye-candy and that is about it. ...

Let me think back to welding shop from years back, IIRC: When welding stainless, a different make-up of wire than the stock material CAN be used. However it may cause contaminated/weak welds if the alloy is too far off from the material being welded. Now, this might not matter to much in our line of...

I spent some time posishing a few piece of aluminum last spring. The best i could get was by NOT sanding it. Simply rubberwheel the scratches and then hit it with an emery compound and a sissal wheel. This gave a kind of dull shine with directional marks. I then used Mothers Aluminum/Mag polish to b...
