Mounting your B-3 is SOOOO much more fun than using it. I mounted mine over and over again. Until I got it just right. http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/biggrin.gif Don't worry. I hit my pieces with scotchbrite wheels.

They still have the "silver" look, but it is much closer to a polished steel than the mirror of polished stainless.

Paul Champagne. Could not find a website. His blades run between 2 and 20K, though.

With the work that goes into them (he wroughts his own iron ore) I would expect them to be much more expensive.

I was watching the History channel last night and they had a segment on bladed weapons. There was a swordsmith who smelts iron ore to make his blades. Appeared to take FOREVER to get enough drawn up and purified to make a blade. He was from the mountains in New York, IIRC. I did not catch the gentle...

Sasha is correct. Plasma cutters are very nice tools when used for cutting things in half. Great for bodywork, cutting scrap, etc. For armour, you will end up doign about 12 times more cleanup of edges than you would with your trusty shear. And the speed is nowhere near as quick as your shear. I kno...

I had Centaur Forge do up my maker's mark.

It is a simple PQ.

I stamp only once per piece. IE, once per pauldron, arm, leg, etc. If I make a set, I mark once per piece included in the set. Both legs or both arms, etc.

A sabre saw would work good. As will a shear (Beverly-style throatless).

Beverly - quiet and quick.

Sabre saw - loud and kind of slow, unless you have a dual mode, then it is a bit faster. Requires constant lubrication, also.

I used the Beverly shear.

Let me think back to welding shop from years back, IIRC: When welding stainless, a different make-up of wire than the stock material CAN be used.
