I have a catalogue, in German, of Peddinghaus' ENTIRE line.

I was unaware that they made a line of bodyworking tools. Had I known that, my days in the automotive industry would have been that much sweeter!

Rivetted or butted maille? If the titanium is of the right makeup and worked proerly I would assume that rivetted would really hold up well, I would imagine.

There is an SCA fighter with a Roman/Greek persona with a bronze finished helm. It is plated steel.

IIRC, SCA rules only allow steel for helms.

$196.00 is ridiculous for a three legged stand. I have mine mounted to one end of my bench. It could be stainless. I know that 302 stainless is not magnetic.
