The ONLY way to keep buffing dust out of your shop is to buff in a sealed room seperate from the rest of your shop. Buffing dust is extremely fine and finds its way onto and into EVERYTHING. Actually, Bascot is probably correct. The hardness you will get from aluminum is dependant on its alloy content.
