If there was a way to make 3/8 the curved I would. Let me propperly put that - if there was a way to do it without layering up my own ply wood! sorry to clairfy - 3/8 ths baltic birch for flat, 2 layers of glued up 1/4 in baltic birch to end up being 1/2 in for curved shield.

The colors are spot on for what I ordered. I had some interesting blacks come out of the dye bath but needed to get stuff out fast. Glad they work for ya. well the hobnails im looking at are rounded, and only about a 1/4 in tall if that much. but my westland viking boots are the best grass skies ive ever tried to slide down a hill with! they wil get better when scuffed up but a nice roman swirl pattern of little nail heads should put the slip and slid...

yep - i noticed that too. the current batch of stuff on the market seems to be a bit snug. one of the roman LH sites talked about the tunica's as fitting more like a tent than a t-shirt. i suspect part of the problem is linen is expensive and there are not enough references for the actual size invol...
