It is difficult to see with low res photos, but I don't like the trim on the kaftan. I would also think about some neck and cuff facing in a contrasting color. The tunic's dimensions seem off to me. Maybe it is the height, or maybe it is the height of the hem facing, but it doesn't look right. I als...

Welcome to the trade offs in life. Higher paying jobs usually have the downsides of requiring more time. So the reduced stress of fewer monetary problems (and more "stuff") usually means reduced free time. Trade offs. As far as coming back to fighting, I think you'll be surprised at how qu...

Re: Bocksten tunic questions

For those of you without access to good photos of the Bocksten man's clothing, Länsmuseet Varberg has some lovely photos on their site, though not in the English portion. For you Swedish-challenged English-speakers, click on "BOCKSTENSMANNEN" from the front page, then on "Kläderna&...

While I cannot comment on his higher end stuff, but I have a few things from Anshelm. His aluminum cup hilt is quite lovely, and very well made. While not my personal taste for my fighting style, it is really nice stuff (especially as far as aluminum cuphilts go). I gave it to my buddy and he LOVES ...

Unless you want to resell it... and that helmet would be harder to unload than a bascinet, that's for sure. And the maker would have the same problem trying to recover on the investment that you would. Maybe I am missing something. If someone buys a custom helm, and it doesn't fit, then why is it t...

I've had excellent dealings with them. I've ordered a lot of castings from them and been happy with all of them. Pretty sure its a requirement in Trimaris. Or I have been told. Thats fine, I will do my best at it and move on to things I think might be more fun. That is if I don't get hooked on stick and shield. I originally was going to go Landsknecht. Decided some of the garb was just too damn flamboyant for my tastes. m has wonderful hand-woven winingas for reasonable prices. Short of that, winingas are very easy to make if you have a sewing machine.
