Re: What does it take to compete at the top levels of SCA He

If I haven't competed much in the last 3 years it is because I have had almost no work for the past 3 years, and I have been living on about $700/month for most of that time. While I understand your point, I can promise you that it is MUCH easier to get good with no money and no job, than it is wit...

Re: Take down spears...

How it works: You epoxy the splint to one of the pieces and then tape (strapping/duct) them together when you want to use it. I have one, but don't really like it. The splint makes it heavier, but the real annoyance is that I find the tape in the middle interferes with thrusts because my hand gets s...

Fabric Mart Fabrics has some of their Shetland wools on sale again for $7.99/yard. This is a soft, medium-weight flannel that fulls up beautifully in the wash. Definitely worth a look! Overstock Clearance on Shetland Wools I just bought some... How do you pre-wash it to get it fulled? Hot water? Do...

He might be short, but judging by the width of those pieces, he ain't exactly small. Nice work! You got a really nice curvature on those cuisses. I was thinking along the same lines when I first saw the photo (that the cuisses looked really short) until I realized that they aren't attached yet. So ...

And I know a lot of fencers who rarely fight (myself for example). It sort of works both ways and I bet balances out pretty well with the overall percentages. I am not sure if that is as common. In my area many of the active fighters are authorized in fencing, but most of them rarely fence. Convers...

Vebrand, Meridies loss is Trimaris's gain.
