Otto, Perhaps if you also showed photos of the armour that you made for a customer on the waiting list it might help. Like, "Your purchase will allow me to ship this helm to this John Smith (insert photo) and and buy 1 sheet of steel to make legs for Adam Jones." If they are archive member...

If it's indoors, do one wall as an indoor climbing gym. Seriously. We had a practice place that was an indoor climbing gym. I'd warm up by getting into armour and then going to the wall for 5 minute periods. Wayyy better than simply stretching. That is much more money than you'd expect. I looked in...

I wear a light plastic body harness, similar to what MarkH did here: m. I kept a one-piece front and back, but is otherwise the same (except I don't have the leather shoulder cops). It is not uber protective, but it is comfy. I wear a McDavids HexPad shirt under it. It has padding over the shoulders...

How much should/would an armourer capable of producing armour worthy "of royal gift" require for a year worth of work, plus the cost of materials?

I am looking for a pair of Blacksword Armoury gauntlets (Seosaidh). Size S/M. I'd prefer stainless, but mild would be okay.

A pair that Scout made with Seosaidh's pattern would be okay.

Obviously in a situation like Brand, the choice is clear. But what about a situation where the merchant simply delivered products you weren't happy with and did not care to do anything about it.
