Hi there. Okay I finished a few with a lower flare instead of a fauld since it was mentioned a few times. My BPs have a welded seam up the center and I was hesitant to try to roll the weld so I just flared it. I like them with no fauld better I think. Heres a few pics.
thank you

Hi there Sir Thorfinn, I would roll the edge of the shield like this. It makes them twice as strong I think. Id also put a curve in the shield.

2 more, the top grip shows a relaxed grip on a large plate, Most of the time id have vice grips on it but sometimes like this. The lower pic is a good example of a bike grip making a thin handle larger and squishier,

Hi there, A few more things I forgot to mention last post that I thought of as the day went on. One is to try to make more of your work time restfull to your hands. Say im riveting or forming a plate, try to hold the plate in a grip that is relaxing your hand, In pic 1 im holding the pieces wrong , ...

Hi there, Thanks for the pics, I will start offering them with a roll on the bottom to make them more historicly correct. If anyone wants one with a roll on the bottom I can put a roll on one for the same price as a fauld. I forgot to mention the measurements on the breastplates are 16.5 from neck t...

Hi there
Howdy Ruthardus, I know what you mean about hand pain. If you havent tried a leather band around the knuckles of your hand I would do it next time your in the shop. Just the slight pressure of the band makes my hand stop aching. Of course use vice grips to hold your work as much as possible, and try...

Globose Breastplates with Stoprib + No Fauld for Sale $250
Hi there, I made up a batch of these Globose Breastplates with Stopribs and Faulds the other day when I had an order for one come up. This one I left the neck roll open on the bottom to catch blades better. I have 3 of these in stock that will fit roughly 36-42 inch waists, Let me know if you want m...

Hi there Konstantin, I see what you mean about the spaulder and rebrace looking like one piece. That and the missing lower strap on the spaulder indicates it being all one piece with the arm also. If the whole thing was on leather straps like you mentioned I think it would work good. If it was rivet...

Hi there William. Id guess they are strap articulated since I cant see any rivets exposed like a sliding rivet would be. I think the rebraces are separate from the spaulders. Hi there MJBlazek, I use a bench grinder with a wire wheel on it to remove just the rust, then spray on WD40 and take the wire wheel over the whole surface of the piece in overlapping passes. Hi there, Real nice armor you have going there for sure, The pope said those ropes were dope. Do you start by making a large roll, then tap the grooves in it? Anyway nice job on the lower flare too, its hard to get one formed and keep the rounded bulge going for sure. I cant wait to see more updates...
