Hi there, These C-belts I make from 14 oz leather certainly armor the area you mentioned. They arent period but you cant really see them and they hold your leg armor up better than anything ive found.

You dont have to wait Raul :0) heres some pics. The bottom lames of your new cuirass are leather articulated for alot more movement. I changed the lames on the legs to my new dished ones too. The articulateion came out nice. Let me know if you have any fitting issues and ill help you get them fixed....

Halberds, what size rivets did you need? I have some huge ones I could send if you needed some. Steel dome heads with about a 5/8 head thats about 1/2 inch tall, with a 3/8 shank. Let me know if you could use them and ill shoot them over to you.
