Hi there Hal, My belt sander removes any marks the flap disk leaves pretty easily, but id like to try out one of those disks you posted a pic of. Because after you roll the edges of a breastplate or anything rounded, I cant get my belt sander on certain parts of it without CUTTING MY DAMN ROLLS UP. ...

Hi there, Just put both arms straight out in front of you like your water skiing, measure from arm to arm, and subtract 1.5 inches from both sides. That should get you close.

Howdy Graham, I use the 120 flap disk on an angle grinder also after planishing, Then you just goto a belt sander with 180 on it, then spray with WD40 and wire wheel the finish on. You can be very gentle with the angle grinders and get it almost good enough to wire wheel that way if your super caref...

Pitbull Tip #3
Hi there, Pitbull Trick #3 is, when you do a roll on the edge of a breastplate, you need to be super carefull when you get around the ends of the roll. Because they will want to fold over easily instead of rolling up into a tube. If you see this happening you can pound a center punch in the end of t...

Hi there
Hi there Dante, I like wooden hammers also. Good point they would be super easy to make. I usually work the inside of a piece with one. Howdy, Pitbull Tip #2, is if you want to build some armor, and want a good soft faced hammer, just buy a rubber dead blow like shown in the pic at the top of the post here, I spent hundreds of dollars on Garland Rawhide hammers, I have a whole set from 1lb to 6lbs, some are shown below, they are all...

Hi Younguns
Howdy, all you need to start making armor is a stump and a ball peen hammer, and a trailer hitch, and TOMAR. (maybe an axe head for creasing and flutes. Get your specialty tools from Halberds.

Hi Sha-ul, I agree with you totally, Im adding the argon to my welder as soon as possible, I have a small gas welder also Ill try next time. On the copper, did you mean to put it on the underside of the welded area so it would stack up instead of burn through?
