there are many good ( and maybe a few not so good ) armourers on here. read a few reviews of thier work to see what others think and look out for warning signs like people paid a year ago and get no replies and ask others on here what they think. depending on what you want there are a good selection...

can anyone here help. am looking for pictures of hinges and other metalwork for chests and boxes 16 to 17c, have tried a few places but most pictures and illustrations only show the front of such chests and in little detail. be cautious of using iron to dye things black as I have heard it can cause things to rot, I dont know if it would just shorten the life of an item but I suspect that is true. of course long term it may not matter much if an item lasts 80 years instead of 100 or 8 years instead of 10 and I do not kno...
