I hope things start going better for you now and that you can do what you want when you want. I am sure that any item you feel like making would have no trouble getting sold and i...

think I will see if I can fit a 2" ball bearing to the head of an old hammer, have a few cheap metal shafted brick hammers which could be modified maybe and will see if people here want to buy them.
I do keep getting asked for hammers of different types
if popular I will make more

on a press I find it easy to do a deep dish in 6mm 1/4" thick stuff but harder to work thin stuff. I have a dishing form on a flypress at the moment to dish some 3mm 1/8" brass for a customer and first tests are good. you may want to do a shallow dish, then aneal it then do it a bit deeper...

the thread may well be a M14 as used on most 4 1/2" and bigger grinders so try the nut from a normal grinder or try a worn out disc on a normal grinder to see if it fits

maybe you need to try a different sort of blade in it losthelm, one particular sort works well for me, the end is more of a V and it does both sides of the metal in one go.
I find it very good for small round holes in 1/8 steel

I would use a file or grinder to get the edge level and even then probably a Noga deburring tool like the popular large blue handled one rather than the thin pen style ones and an S30 blade in it for heavy duty stuff and it does both sides at once. most stuff I do is thicker than armour and often ju...

why not just weld it. we do cast iron welding all the time and with good rods it is easy. use the nickle based rods, they cost a bit but do the job unlike the cheap ones, vee out the areas to be welded and you will need to pre heat it, clamp it well and tack it in several places , weld it all and le...

I did think of that.
it came with zirconium belts and 3 scotchbrite belts.
have only tried it out once but with a fine zirconium belt it seems a bit aggresive on mild steel, I expect it will be better on harder stuff or with more worn belts
