what will it cost to ship nothing across the pond? and are there likely to be problems with import duty or customs.

actually I would like a perfect vacuum and that would be 'nothing' though it may be difficult to stop it being contaminated with 'something'

I like dishing on my press but cant do thin stuff, my favorite is working 8mm ( 5/16" ) to 10mm ( 3/8" ) thick and can do much thicker.
its a home made hydraulic press with a 3hp motor.

will soon be seeing what fun the new power hammer is too

for those here who like more details: the main body is about 1 meter tall and including the foot control less than 1 meter from front to back ( thats about 39" to the americans ) it is about 45cm wide ( about 18" ) there is more to go on top yet to cover things in to try to comply with the EC regula...

Re: some things im working on...... ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!

added some lead to the hammer head and checked weight, weight on scales was 8kg about 20lb, this is the total weight at the working end at rest. am surprised how hard it hits possibly due to the way the machine is using and storing energy in springs. casing is a bit more complete now but still lots ...

I do not know the answer but you should maybe ask your relative, the problem I can foresee is about which country you will be taxed in, I know there are some services online which take PP or other payments and send them on to your bank, they often take time and cost quite a bit. maybe ask anonymousl...

Don't forget the Mole Plows! (though I have never figured out how to harness the moles to pull one...) yes that is why they are not so popular, harnessing the moles was the worst part. they were also known as 'sub soilers' and the plough would consist of 2 thick plates the go straight down about 18...

Re: armour's tools, basic set?

lots of tools can be found cheaply for sale at flea markets, you just need to look and think, even old normal hammers can be modified to any shape you want with the aid of a grinder. I use 'wear parts' from excavators and agricultural machines as when they are worn out they are smooth and interestin...
