Re: junkyard tools, mini dish stake / hardy tool
the outside of this is only curved one way to fit into the housing and the inner part was like Hals roman ridge tool, rollers are all barrel shaped.
yes I have more of this but will wait to see how it goes.
anyone else got any junkyard tools to show off?

Re: junkyard tools, mini dish stake / hardy tool
thank you Hal I used a cutting disc on a grinder to cut up the casing, the plasma would do it but it would still need the same amount of work with the grinder to clean it up afterwards. I have enough plasma cutting to do soon anyway with nearly half a ton of cast iron that is about 1 1/2" thick...

Re: Anti-Tilt tools
thanks for the suggestion Matt
in the past I had just welded on 2 pieces of angle to a tool shank when people wanted me too.
made this today as a prototype toolholder for my 20mm ( 3/4" ) shank tools to see how it works.
using angle it will fit more vices as long as it is not too deep.

I use 2 pieces of angle clamped in the vice with the tool shank between them and then welded on, only using the top of it like I do means it fits any vice
