"The real fools? Both sides' commanders. Static line battles - Pheagh!" Yeah, ANYONE who thinks what we do is "war" has got to be quite deluded. On many, rather basic, levels. If you've got a finite amount of troops, who WILL *really* DIE, you go about things in a very different way than the typical...

That's probably the one.
I dunno how it'll do on mild steel, they're worthless on stainless, not enough "bite" to the teeth.
It'll just skip around.

Let me know how it goes with the mild though, alright?

Hmmm...Nope, no pic.....
But I can describe it for ya.

Get the smallest ball ended tip you can find in the dremel bit display.
This thing was TINY.
Head of a pin kinda tiny.

Yeah, I know, a serial/part# would be nice, but I don't have it......

I built that one in an afternoon, about 4 months before my shoulder went. Just took a B2 to some street signs, and started pounding. They're pretty easy to make actually. If you want a plate armor project to start armoring with, I'd say try one. It actually had a bit more of a globose shape to it......

No, I'm talking airscribe of the archaeological persuasion.....the kind used for chipping rock off of artifacts in a delicate way.

Like these, except ours aren't this nice!http://murrayengineering.com/

HvR-
No, not a stone tip, a metal cutting/engraving tip is what I used.

I used a REALLY small "ball" ended cutting tip. I did the outlines of the acanthus leaves, then stippled the background. I dunno about using it on mild, but I DO know that it doesn't work for stainless. The material is too hard and the bit just kinda skips around on the surface. I used a pointy bit ...

I did that with a dremel, actually. I would NEVER put that kind of work into aluminum combat armor again. The only reason I did the work on that harness was that I had ripped my shoulder up pretty badly and had a couple of months of downtime. Couldn't swing a stick, nor a hammer.... Doc said I could...

The name escapes me...Shanghai something.....

I dunno, but it was definately Jackie.
And I believe it was a horseshoe on a rope, not a wrench.

It WAS a pretty bad assed fight scene.

18g is OK for lames and such, dunno if I'd use it for a breastplate.

Well, *I* would, but I don't mind hammering dents out.
If you don't want to hammer dents, use 16g.

Is it brushed finish stainless?
I'll tell you ahead of time, getting rid of a brushed finish is a pain in the butt.
