Damn.
I love it when people floor me with work like that.
GREAT JOB!!!!!!!

Now, top it by doing that fluted Burgundian "ice cream cone" one in the Met!
In stainless.

Yup, later on, it's a masonic thing.
Every now and then they find buttons with that device while excavating the 1600-1700's Spanish missions here in Florida.

The device is to remind one of ones own mortality.

Ouch, you know, that IS a good point......
And they'll keep adding rules so more folks can play, even though it takes things farther and farther from reality..........anyone wanna argue that?

Yeah, leather works ALOT better, it's not as "slick" as synthetic material, so it doesn't work loose anywhere near as easily.
I've been using a leather strap and D ring arrangement for about 10 years.....

We tried that in the East a few years back and got yelled at.....
So we tried it in Aethelmarc, they bitched too.
It was astounding, especially considering some of the pole weapons that exist in the East and are "safe" and "legal".

You guys are so lucky!

The bad thing about ear plugs- You MUST keep them VERY clean, and if you get the foam ones that you have to compress with your fingers prior to inserting, your fingers have to be clean. Which can be a pain in the ass if you have to take the plugs out in the middle of working on something. The muffs ...

Heck, you could probably get a rifle barrel, cut it in 2 or 3 pieces, have the ends milled/threaded for breechplugs, and have touchholes drilled...... Agreed, but I have a personal interest in showing the population of the SCA that archery was NOT the "super weapon" most seem to think it was. Combat archery is a "magic bullet" fired at a distance, from people who have no wish to engage me in combat. It is grossly unfair in it's implementation, and...
